Sainik School Rewari
was inaugurated on 29th Aug 2008 by Shri AK Antony,
Hon'ble Raksha Mantri. The proposed permanent location of the school is at
village Gothra Tappa Khori, District Rewari (Haryana), situated 15 km south -
west of Rewari town on Rewari - Narnaul Road. The school is temporarily
functioning from Govt. Primary School, Sector - 4, Rewari. The State Government
has handed over Youth Hostel, Rao Tula Ram Stadium, Rewari for temporary use as
a residential complex for the cadets.
Aim :
The primary aim of the school is to prepare boys academically, mentally and
physically for entry into the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla. The school
enables boys from economically weaker sections of the society to take up a
challenging and high status career as an officer in the Defence Services of
India. Character building, dedication, patriotic outlook and esprit-de-corps and
the qualities which are promoted by the Sainik Schools.
Strength :
At present the school has 312 Cadets and 2 Day Scholars studying in Class VI,
VII,VIII & IX.
